THE CIRCULAR MOVEMENT OF TIME

I can feel the final sigh of Autumn,

Of fallen leaves, and the agony of their descent.

This phenomenon occurs in the preparation of trees

To await the next season that,

Covered in chill, arrives blowing coldly,

Twisting the bare branches of skeletal trees.

The chilly wind passes, making way for a new season

that arrives perfuming, beautifying, and dressing the trees

once disheartened and bare;

It’s Spring, the season of enchantment, of renewal.

Ah! Those butterflies, those bees in a constant dance and

They don’t tire; they thread, sew from one flower to another…

And so the spectacle of Time concludes with the ripening of fruits,

a source of nourishment for the birds.

Only for the birds?

Finally, Summer, pushing the sun down

that bathes the trees in warmth, now rich with foliage

of a superb and imperial green.
