THE CLIFF OF LIFE

We parted on the cliff of life,

in the full brightness of the moon’s flame.

You are leaving, the rivers are carrying you away

the rivers that connected the two young lives.

Our tears greeted the whisper of dawn,

and the truth is spreading its sadness…

Until yesterday we were counting the mornings,

and today you are not around anymore.

In the abyss of thoughts and feelings

we gave birth to winter in our chest.

We are no longer what we used to be,

but the memory still hides its charms.

CVIJA PERANOVIĆ KOJĆ

She was born 1968 in Brčko, BiH.  After finishing high school, in her hometown, she continued to live and study in Austria, at the Higher School of Economics, studying German at the same time, and later she studied psychology at the Pedagogical Academy in Brčko.  Today, he lives in Austria with his family and is actively engaged in literary and scientific work.  She is the author of six independent books, four for adults: Where Love Connects, We Build Bridges of Happiness, The Other Side of Life, Alchemy of Mind and Soul and two books for children: Let’s Play and Playful World of a Little Schoolboy.  It is represented in dozens of anthologies in BiH and the region, but also around the world.  She is a member and ambassador of many regional and international literary associations and academies and a participant in several international poetry festivals.  She is the winner of numerous awards and recognitions, and her work has been translated into several foreign languages.
